The Stars Are Aligning: Starfield Appears to Be Heading to Nintendo Switch 2
Starfield has recently received a rating for Nintendo platforms, suggesting the Bethesda space RPG may be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 after recently launching on PlayStation 5.
In what appears to be a very significant hint, Starfield recently received a rating for Nintendo platforms, which of course suggests that we may soon see Bethesda's latest space game coming to another new console, the Nintendo Switch 2. This comes after the game launched on Sony's PlayStation 5 earlier this month, following 3 years of Xbox and PC exclusivity since its original release.
While reviews for the game haven't been as impressive as those for its bigger siblings from the same developer, there's no doubt it still holds a devoted fanbase that enjoys it. Those fans have now also received the latest major update alongside the PlayStation launch, Free Lanes, which includes welcome quality-of-life fixes, features that are surprisingly absent until now, and the new second game expansion Terran Armada, making it seem like the perfect time to land on another platform.
And for those wondering, it looks like this is far from the end for Starfield. Despite the many upgrades, the developers are making it clear this is only the beginning. Timothy Lamb, the game's lead creative producer, noted that he definitely doesn't see the recent updates as Starfield 2.0. "We have no new announcements today, but there are a lot more things the team is excited about, and topics we still want to explore," he said, concluding with "We're still working on Starfield."
