The Duskbloods Delayed to 2027
FromSoftware's upcoming Switch 2 exclusive, Duskbloods, has been officially delayed from 2026 to 2027 to give the developers more time to expand and balance the game following its closed beta.
The Switch 2 reveal was undoubtedly packed with exciting announcements, but one stood out as the most unique and unexpected of all: FromSoftware's next game, titled Duskbloods, would be a Switch 2 exclusive slated for release in 2026. The past few months have been nerve-wracking, as we haven't received many details regarding the game's release beyond its heavily restricted closed beta (from which almost nothing could be detailed or published). Even so, it certainly looked like we had something major to look forward to. However, if you are like me, it seems we will have to wait a while longer for the full release.
A post on the game's social media pages stated: "As the development of Duskbloods reaches its final stages, we have decided to delay the game's release to 2027. We apologize to the players who have been waiting patiently for the game, and we thank you for your patience and support. During our beta, we saw great interest in the core concepts of the game, including the combat system, various strategies, and player expression. In order to expand and improve upon all of this, we have decided to move the game's launch window to allow us more time to refine the game's rules and balance."

This delay is certainly disappointing and leaves us waiting even longer for the game, but as long as it means we will get a more complete product, the wait could definitely be well worth it. Until we get a new release window, what do you think about the news? Are you also eagerly awaiting the game? Did you get a chance to play the beta? Feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments!
