Switch 2 Version of Oblivion Remastered Launches August 11

After a successful launch on other platforms, Oblivion Remastered is finally coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on August 11, featuring Joy-Con motion controls and all expansion packs.

A little over a year ago, after a very long rumor mill, Bethesda finally revealed and launched Oblivion Remastered, giving us another modern opportunity to adventure through Cyrodiil. Immediately after launch, the game posted excellent sales numbers with hundreds of thousands of players flocking to it on day one. But despite its success across all platforms, there was one player audience that hadn't yet gotten to experience this excellent remaster—Nintendo players.

But that's about to change soon, as the Switch 2 version of Oblivion Remastered arrives on August 11. Beyond the regular gameplay we already know, the Switch 2 version will also include the ability to use Joy-Con motion controls, though at this point it's not entirely clear how that will work in practice. On the content front, we're also expected to get all of the game's expansion packs. As a reminder, Oblivion Remastered brings us the excellent game world of the iconic title built on Unreal Engine 5, giving it a modern look alongside several small gameplay improvements to help the game go down more smoothly for players in 2026.
