Selling Like Hot Cakes: Pragmata Sells Over a Million Copies in Two Days

Capcom's brand-new IP Pragmata has achieved impressive commercial success, selling over a million copies in less than two days following its launch, adding to the company's string of recent hits.

A few days ago we got the launch of one of my most anticipated games for 2026, and that's Pragmata. The story of this game is certainly interesting, with a long development that happened more or less in complete silence until last year when it finally started to be revealed. The reviews that came out for the game, including our own, praise it for its refreshing combat system along with its interesting story and mark it as one of the best games we've received so far this year.

Today Capcom announced that along with the glowing reviews, the game is also recording excellent financial achievements, having sold over a million copies in less than two days. The sales pace is even more impressive when we're talking about a completely new brand that doesn't come with a large fanbase like a new game released in an established series. Pragmata joins Capcom's list of successful games from the past year as the company is in one of the best periods it's ever had with one successful game after another. And in this case too, it seems this is only a successful beginning, and I wouldn't be surprised if we soon hear that Pragmata has also crossed the 5 million copies sold mark.
