Rumor: Kingdom Hearts 4 Coming in 2027
The new trailer released without a launch window, but fans are convinced the game could arrive as early as next year based on leaked retailer listings.
Opinions on Nintendo's latest Direct are deeply divided. Some viewers loved what they saw, while many vocal viewers expressed disappointment over the presentation's lack of real substance when it came to Nintendo's first-party games. While we did get interesting announcements throughout the Direct, one trailer definitely caught the attention of quite a few viewers: the Kingdom Hearts IV trailer. After a period of near-total silence over the past 4 years since the last teaser, we got a slightly longer look at the game's combat system. The trailer didn't announce a release date, but could it be closer than we thought?
During the Direct, just before we got the Kingdom Hearts IV trailer, we received an announcement that the series' remaster collection is coming to Switch 2 (this time running natively on the device and not in cloud format, thank you Square). Store pages for this collection went live in October, and several Austrian retailers received the same game description, which stated: "Play the complete Kingdom Hearts series in one comprehensive package before the release of Kingdom Hearts IV in 2027."
This description appeared on two different stores in Austria and has since been deleted, but the internet never forgets. Now many fans are convinced the game will likely arrive next year. Will it actually happen? With Tetsuya Nomura, it's honestly hard to know, and without a doubt, the wait for word from him is never short. What do you think about this? Are you looking forward to Kingdom Hearts IV? Do you also believe the game will come out next year? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
