Resident Evil Requiem's New Update Arrives With a New Game Mode
Resident Evil Requiem has received a surprise free update featuring a new game mode called Leon Must Die Forever, where players must reach and kill Victor Gideon within a time limit.
It's no secret that Resident Evil Requiem's success led to very positive reviews from both critics and players alike, bringing it to particularly impressive sales numbers during its first weekend. Not long after all this success, Koshi Nakanishi shared that he and the game's development team are working on a new story expansion for the game with no known release date, but also mentioned they're working on a new mini-game that would arrive in a future free update for all players—and that happened this past Friday as a complete surprise.
While the new game mode was promised to arrive sometime in May, it dropped as a complete surprise without any advance preparation and is called Leon Must Die Forever. Its general objective? Within the allotted time, we need to reach Victor Gideon and kill him. The name of this game mode comes unsurprisingly from the previous game Nakanishi worked on for Resident Evil 7, called Ethan Must Die. It's worth noting that the game mode will be locked for people who haven't finished the game, so in order to play its content, you'll need a completed save file. As mentioned, the new game mode is already available for free to all owners of the game with the new update. Have you played it yet? Were you expecting it? Feel free to share with us in the comments!
