Nicolas Cage Joins Call of Duty as Playable Operator in Season 4 Reloaded

The Academy Award-winning actor becomes the latest Hollywood star to join Call of Duty's roster when Season 4 Reloaded launches on June 25, bringing his iconic action hero energy to Black Ops 7 and Warzone.

Call of Duty's Summer of Action is living up to its name. Nicolas Cage is coming to Black Ops 7 and Warzone as a playable operator when Season 4 Reloaded drops on June 25. The Hollywood legend joins the game's expanding roster of celebrity operators, bringing decades of action movie credibility from films like National Treasure, Con Air, Gone in 60 Seconds, and his recent turn as Spider-Noir.

Cage arrives as part of a dedicated "Nick Cage event" featuring both free and paid reward tracks, similar to the recent RoboCop event. While cosmetics themed around the actor are available in both tracks, the operator himself is locked behind the paid pass, which typically runs $10. The midseason update also introduces two free weapons: the Executioner's Duet melee weapon and the fan-favorite AN-94 assault rifle returning from Black Ops 2.

Beyond the celebrity headliner, Season 4 Reloaded packs substantial content across all modes. Multiplayer gets two new 6v6 maps—Zenith, set in a cliffside manor, and Launch, a remake of the classic Black Ops 1 rocket facility map. New modes include Team Blueprint Sharpshooter, where weapons rotate every few seconds and killstreaks grant power-ups instead of scorestreaks, plus Knife Fight, a melee-only Gunfight variant. The popular Black Ops Classic playlist, which strips out omnimovement and modern equipment, is now permanent and adds four remastered maps to its rotation.

Zombies players get an entirely new map called Kowakujo, set in Takeo's family castle in Japan. The map introduces Oni—armored enemies wielding electricity and melee weapons—and challenges players to fight Nyxara's army while uncovering the curse on Takeo's soul. Meanwhile, Warzone's Rebirth Island sheds its snowy aesthetic for a more colorful summer look, and the battle royale mode welcomes Squad Gun Game for the first time, tasking squads with cycling through predetermined weapons to claim victory on Resurgence maps.
