New Details About GTA VI Emerge From Recent Leaks
Recent leaked footage from GTA VI reveals details about the game's map size, locations, and features, including evidence suggesting the leaks are from the past year.
Map size, locations, and what to expect
The internet has been flooded in recent days with leaked videos from GTA VI. There's plenty of speculation about when the videos were recorded and which version of the game is shown, but one of the videos gives us a clue. In one of the published videos, there's a segment where someone is driving a car with the radio on. The radio is playing a song by Tate McRae called Sports Car, which only came out in January 2025 - meaning the leak is from months after the contract for it was already signed, so it's easy to assume it's from the past year. The video also revealed that there will be an option to duplicate car keys in order to break into them.
In addition, the game's map has also apparently leaked, revealing there will be 5 main counties, which are supposed to represent central parts of Florida. Swamps, plenty of built-up areas and villages, Miami, islands, and at least 2 large airports - one of which may be based on Cape Canaveral, so we can expect to see space in the game. People who calculated the map size found it will be 1.6 times larger than the map of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, though it will probably feel a bit smaller than RDR 2 because a horse doesn't gallop as fast as a car. The built-up area, by the way, is expected to be larger than both games, but it's still unclear by how much. There's a yacht marina, over 100 icons of things that are probably shops or buildings you can enter, and one island shaped like a question mark.
