Into the Jungle: Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Arrives Next Month
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, the follow-up to the punishing 2019 WWII shooter, takes players to the Vietnam War with asymmetric gameplay including helicopters for Americans and tunnel systems for the Vietnamese. The game launches June 18th for PC and current-gen consoles.
Not many may be familiar with it, but the original Hell Let Loose first launched in 2019 and was (and still is) one of the toughest and most brutal FPS games out there. The game puts us in the boots of a soldier during World War II as part of massive 50 vs 50 player battles. The game was warmly received and progressed throughout early access until its full launch in 2021 to widespread praise for its punishing yet highly rewarding gameplay, along with solid recreations of World War battles.
Several months ago, the studio behind the game announced a new title that will take us to the Vietnam War this time. Like its predecessor, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will be an asymmetric game with significant differences between the American and Vietnamese sides in combat. The Americans, for example, will have access to helicopters that will allow them to move around the map quickly and easily, while the Vietnamese will have access to a tunnel system that will enable them to execute flanking maneuvers. The development team placed great emphasis on the authenticity of weapons and environments alongside improvements made over the previous game, especially in the movement system which now allows diving and also dragging wounded teammates. The game was already revealed several months ago, but only in recent days did we receive its launch date, arriving on June 18th for PC and current-gen consoles, with an open beta taking place between May 29th and June 1st.
