Forza Horizon 6 System Requirements Revealed

Microsoft has released the PC system requirements for Forza Horizon 6, divided into four tiers from minimum to extreme RT settings, confirming support for ultrawide monitors, DLSS 4, and Multi Frame Generation.

Forza Horizon 6 is one of the games I'm most looking forward to this year. After a very long time of the player community asking for the series to come to Japan, it's finally happening, and from what we've seen so far, the game looks absolutely stunning with a massive roster of over 550 vehicles, detailed and beautiful environments including Tokyo, which will be the largest and most detailed city in Forza Horizon games to date. Now we're getting the game's PC system requirements along with confirmation that it will support ultrawide monitors and DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation technology.

The PC system requirements for Forza Horizon 6 are divided into four tiers:

Minimum Requirements (1080p at 60FPS on low settings):

  • Processor: Intel i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • Graphics Card: AMD RX 6500 XT or Nvidia GTX 1650 or Intel A380
  • Memory: 16GB RAM

Recommended Requirements (1440p at 60FPS on high settings):

  • Processor: Intel i5 12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • Graphics Card: AMD RX 6700 XT or Nvidia RTX 3060Ti or Intel A580
  • Memory: 16GB RAM

Extreme Requirements (4K at 60FPS or 4K on extreme settings):

  • Processor: Intel i7 12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
  • Graphics Card: AMD RX 7900 XT or Nvidia RTX 4070Ti
  • Memory: 24GB RAM

Extreme RT Requirements (4K at 60FPS on extreme RT settings):

  • Processor: Intel i7 12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
  • Graphics Card: AMD RX 9070 XT or Nvidia RTX 5070Ti
  • Memory: 32GB RAM

While the breakdown into different requirement tiers that clearly present the performance you can expect is good, one missing detail is the game's file size—all that's mentioned is the requirement for an SSD. That said, you can see that the game's minimum requirements aren't particularly high and will serve as a comfortable and welcoming entry point for many players. Another interesting detail mentioned alongside the system requirements is that the game will also be able to run on Steam Deck and ROG Xbox Ally, though it wasn't stated whether we'll be able to choose dedicated graphics settings that the game will run optimally with on these devices.

Forza Horizon 6 launches on May 19 for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
