Death Stranding 2 Hits PC Tomorrow with Ray Tracing, DLSS, and a New Hard Mode
The PC version of Death Stranding 2 launches March 19 with a full suite of technical upgrades, a new difficulty mode, and a VR training area.
Death Stranding 2 arrives on PC tomorrow, March 19, and Sony has detailed everything coming with the launch. Nixxes Software handled the port in collaboration with Kojima Productions and PlayStation.
Both PC and PS5 are getting some new additions alongside the PC launch. "To the Wilder" is a new difficulty mode built around merciless environments and more lethal enemies. There is also a new VR training area called "Trapped in a Strange Realm" where players can revisit confrontations with Neil and unlock new bandanas. Chiral Feline is also making its way into the private room aboard the DHV Magellan, along with new Photo Mode options.
The PC version comes with the full range of technical options you would expect: DLSS, FSR, and XeSS support with frame generation, ray-traced reflections and ambient occlusion, uncapped frame rates, super-ultrawide (32:9) support, full mouse and keyboard customization, and DualSense haptic feedback integration. PS5 is also getting standard ultrawide (21:9) support as part of this update.
