Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 Will Be Unveiled Next Week
The official Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime account has announced that the first look at Season 2 will arrive on June 29th, three years after the first season debuted on Netflix.
It's finally coming
I won't lie if I say that not many anime manage to hold my attention these days, but when they do succeed in grabbing my interest, it's probably because they're based on something else I already know and love, whether it's manga or even PC games, and without a doubt Cyberpunk Edgerunners is among the best anime I've seen in recent years. Since Edgerunners launched about 3 years ago on Netflix, we've seen Cyberpunk 2077 go through quite a few improvements along with the Phantom Liberty expansion, and in the past year we've seen Edgerunners in no shortage of collaborations in the gaming world, whether in Guilty Gear Strive or the recent and particularly successful collaboration with Wuthering Waves, but more than all of that, we've all been waiting only for news about the anime's second season, and it seems the news we've been waiting for is just around the corner.
Time to open those calendars, because we have a date. The official anime account posted a new tweet where they write "Ready to meet the crew? Your first look at Edgerunners Season 2 is coming your way, see you June 29th." There's no doubt significant excitement has been recorded in the replies, or at the very least impatience for the next "depression" (referring to the events of the first season), but we're at least set to get the first trailer for Season 2 this coming Monday.
