Cinder City System Requirements Published and Immediately Changed
Cinder City's PC system requirements were published with an unusual 64GB recommended RAM specification, which was quickly revised down to 32GB, though even the minimum requirement of 32GB remains exceptionally high.
One of the games I enjoyed most at last year's Gamescom was Cinder City, the game we knew for a long time as Project LLL. Personally, I went in with zero expectations and discovered a game that's very reminiscent of The Division in its gameplay, and I say that as high praise. Nearly a year has passed since then, during which we've heard almost nothing about the game, but in recent days its PC system requirements were published and changed almost immediately.
The current system requirements for Cinder City are:
Minimum Requirements:
- CPU: Intel i5 10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Graphics Card: Nvidia RTX 2060
- Memory: 32GB RAM
Recommended Requirements:
- CPU: Intel i5 12700 or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Graphics Card: Nvidia RTX 4070
- Memory: 32GB RAM
At first glance, you can see these system requirements are somewhat odd. First, there's no mention whatsoever of graphics cards from Intel or AMD, and on top of that, we're given no information about the storage space the game will require. But the current system requirements are, as mentioned, what we're getting after they were changed. Originally, Cinder City's initial system requirements were published with a minimum requirement of 32GB of memory while the recommended requirements stood at around 64GB of memory (!). Immediately after this publication, the development team responded and updated the recommended requirements to 32GB, though it must be said that even a minimum requirement of 32GB is extremely unusual in today's landscape. And it wasn't just the amount of memory that was updated—the graphics card requirement also changed, going up from RTX 4060 to RTX 4070. All these changes don't bode well for the game, and based on them alone, one can expect the game will suffer from poor optimization and bad performance, though we'd be happy to be proven wrong.
As of now, Cinder City has not received a release date, but it will be coming to PC and current-gen consoles.
