Black Cat is Coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 7 - As a Vanguard?
Felicia Hardy is all but confirmed for Season 7, but a bizarre detail on her in-game wanted poster has fans questioning whether Black Cat will actually launch as a Duelist - or something far bulkier.
NetEase teased that Black Cat is joining Marvel Rivals in Season 7, which is plannet to launch on March 20, 2026. Felicia Hardy is widely expected to arrive as a high-mobility Duelist, and that still might be the case. But a strange detail spotted in-game has thrown a wrench into everything, and now the question of what role Black Cat will actually play is genuinely up in the air.
The detail in question comes from an updated wanted poster on the Times Square map - the same one that was spotted as a tease before her official confirmation. Players who looked closely at the poster noticed that Black Cat's listed height is over 7 feet tall. For reference, Felicia Hardy in the comics stands at around 5'10". That's not a small discrepancy. At 7-plus feet, she would ironically be taller than the in-game version of the Hulk. That single number has sent the community into speculation overdrive, with many pointing to it as a hint that this version of Black Cat is built more like a Vanguard than the nimble flanker everyone assumed.
NetEase has a history of hiding details in plain sight - the gallery card hinting at her arrival in the first place being a perfect example - so it's hard to completely dismiss it. A 7-foot Black Cat would be a genuinely interesting reinvention of the character, even if it's a jarring one for comic fans.
Season 7 launches March 20 at 11:00 AM UTC - and at this point, the role reveal might be just as anticipated as the hero herself.
