Basketball, Vehicle Fuel, and 6 Police Stars: All the Details from the Massive GTA VI Leak
Hacker group Cyberleek released dozens of minute-long GTA VI gameplay clips revealing new features including basketball mini-games, a 6-star police system with awareness indicators, vehicle fuel mechanics, and more.
The police are going to know things about you
We'll skip the intro and get straight to the action - last night, a hacker group called Cyberleek began releasing dozens of minute-long gameplay clips from GTA VI that appear to be at a high level of completion. There's currently a debate online about what year the footage is from - some claim it's a 2024 build, while others close to the industry argue it's a relatively polished version of the game, suggesting that some of the leaked features will likely be part of what we experience on November 19th. Ready?
We'll be able to play basketball in what looks like a fairly polished mini-game. In fact, you'll be able to pick up and dribble the ball whenever you want, and throw it wherever you want - which also means you'll apparently be able to throw it at people just for fun. The police are getting a significant upgrade with 6 police stars, and icons that will appear below the stars showing what the police know about you. If they know what vehicle you're driving, there'll be a vehicle icon; if they know what you're wearing, there'll be a shirt icon, and so on. Speaking of vehicles, they'll have a fuel mechanism and you won't be able to drive them indefinitely without needing to refuel (apparently). If you crash and get hurt, even if you don't fly through the windshield you'll lose health, and if that's not enough, the people you crashed into will be able to pull hot or cold weapons on you, like a tire iron. Beyond all this, it appears the game's full map also leaked - the image has obviously been taken down from the internet, but honestly it's not surprising at all and looks like every map you've seen that will probably be in the game so far. Finally, we got a glimpse at the "honor" mechanic and several other attributes you'll be able to develop and upgrade through activities in the world.
All of this and more is expected to be properly revealed on August 27th at 10:00 PM Israel time on Netflix in the extended look we'll get at the game. What do you think? Did you like what you heard? So did we. We can't wait any longer for November 19th.
