All the ROG Announcements from Gamescom 2026!

Another year has passed, and true to tradition, just before the opening of Gamescom with the ONL event, ROG held a special announcement event today. This year's event was all about celebrating 20 years of the brand, with the black-and-gold colors we've seen adorning ROG's special product line for the celebration featured prominently throughout the event. Alongside the company's familiar products, we also got announcements for several new gaming products, including an expansion to the company's gaming monitor family and a new Esports mouse.

The new mouse is called the ROG Gladius IV Ace, and it will join as the new flagship in the Gladius family, which I personally love. The IV Ace brings plenty of improvements, starting with a new, lighter weight of 56 grams, a new and upgraded sensor for better accuracy, along with a wireless transmitter that can support an 8,000Hz polling rate. According to ROG, the mouse was created in collaboration with various Esports teams who tested it and confirmed that it indeed meets the standards and needs of competitive players. One of the things that caught my attention about the Gladius IV Ace is the new colors it will come in—beyond the familiar black and white, it will also be available in new red and blue options.

In the networking segment, we got an announcement for the company's new beast called the ROG Rapture GT-BN98. The GT-BN98 is pretty much everything you could ask for in a router—it supports WiFi 8, has enormous reception range along with two built-in 10G connections, and according to the company, it's capable of handling approximately 25 gigabytes of wireless traffic simultaneously. As of now, the router's price is not yet known, but it's expected to be at the high end of ROG's price scale, which already starts high, but it undoubtedly looks like the new king of home networking.

One product we already got an announcement for in the past but is now receiving new information is the 20th anniversary edition of the ROG Ally XBOX. As mentioned, this special and beautiful version was already revealed a few months ago, but ROG took advantage of the event to announce a special bundle for the handheld console that will come with the ROG R1 gaming glasses and a premium hard case from Pelican that will protect the console wherever you go—it looks like it could survive a war inside this case. The special bundle is available for pre-order now, with the launch coming in the coming months, although as of now there's no information about its price or availability locally.

Finally, as mentioned, four new gaming monitors were also showcased, expanding the company's OLED monitor lineup. Leading the family is the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, which despite its long name features a 720Hz refresh rate, an insane 0.02ms response time, and maximum brightness of 1700nits, along with a sensor that ensures it's properly and accurately aligned with the user. Here too, we're talking about one of the best monitors out there (at least on paper), set to launch in the coming months.
