All the Announcements from the March 2026 Xbox Partner Preview Event
Following Xbox's impressive presentation earlier this year, the company held a smaller Partner Preview event showcasing upcoming titles from third-party developers, including several surprise announcements alongside expected games like Stranger Than Heaven and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.
After Xbox's no less than stunning presentation earlier this year, which showcased the major projects Microsoft's studios are working on for the coming year, it's time for another presentation—this time a smaller one—expected to reveal what the company's partners are ready to show. We already knew in advance about some of the games expected to appear, including Stranger Than Heaven and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, but there's no doubt we got some very pleasant surprises here as well. Here's everything from the Xbox Partner Preview event.
Hunter The Reckoning: Deathwish
The first game shown comes to us with a cinematic and pretty creepy trailer for a vampire game called Hunter The Reckoning: Deathwish, showing how a group of vampires has taken over a police station, with short first-person gameplay segments that also reveal we'll be facing other supernatural creatures. Launches in 2027.
Wuthering Waves
The anime game is coming to Xbox and shows off some fast and quite interesting movement and action sequences! Launches in July for Xbox consoles.
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn
The RPG from the creators who brought us the CRPG games in the Pathfinder and Warhammer 40K series gets a more extensive look at the combat systems, story, and choices we'll be able to make. The transition from CRPG games to what looks like a more traditional RPG definitely does justice to what appears possible with this game, which seems to put it pretty much in line with what the Mass Effect games let us do. Absolutely something that will whet our appetite for the next game. Launches in fall 2027, with a closed beta arriving in April this year!
Grave Seasons
A pixel art game with a charming style that looks like a life simulator where you'll manage a routine in a town that only seems peaceful, but will slowly expose you to a chilling horror plot that doesn't spare pixelated violence. Launches in August this year.
Serious Sam: Shatterverse
We didn't expect this—a new Serious Sam game was announced, and it's a 4-player shooter with the action style, enemy waves, and bosses familiar from the series' games. Launches this year.
Stranger Than Heaven
The new game from the creators of the Yakuza series is here and it looks simply stunning. It seems the combat style has improved significantly from what Yakuza has offered us so far, with the ability to grab enemies and hit them with animations that look excellent, an open world that takes us to 1915 Japan, and the over-the-top style that only this studio knows how to deliver. Launches on an unknown date for all platforms. The game will get a more extensive look on May 6.
Super Meat Boy 3D
The beloved meat boy returns, this time in 3D. After its release date remained a question mark for a long time, we now know it's expected to arrive...next week! It's coming to all platforms on March 31.
Forever Ago
The next game from Anapurna looks like a wholesome experience exactly as they know how to deliver, with a story focusing on people in a remote town and the uniqueness of each of them. Launches in spring 2026.
Ascend to Zero
The next game showcases very fast roguelike gameplay where you'll eliminate waves of enemies with a variety of abilities, along with the ability to stop time. Launches on July 13.
Dispatch
This unique narrative title that came to us last year launches for Xbox consoles in summer 2026.
Alien Deathstorm
The next game from Rebellion studio, who brought us the Sniper Elite series and Atomfall, showcases first-person gameplay where we'll explore an abandoned spaceship now inhabited by aliens and dangerous creatures. Launches in 2027.
Frog Sqwad
The next Friend Slop game to enter our list is Frog Sqwad, where you'll need to compete with your friends in a series of challenges with the goal of reaching the finish line first. Coming in June for Xbox consoles.
Bluey Happy Snaps
What do you want us to say? It's a Bluey game for your kids, run and pre-order it. Expected to release in fall 2026 for all platforms.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
The survival game that has come a long way since its launch in 2024 gets a story content pack called Cost of Hope that takes us to new areas with new enemies to deal with. Launches in summer 2026.
MOOSA: Dirty Fate
Announcement of a new action game where we'll step into the shoes of a ninja/samurai in a style reminiscent of Nioh 3, facing various warriors and different enemies. Launches in 2027.
The Eternal Life of Goldman
This action-platformer has been on our radar for a long time. This is a game with a visual style that looks charming (especially the bosses), rewarding gameplay, and interesting puzzles. And the main character is a Jew wearing a kippah—we couldn't be more excited. Launches later this year, with a demo available today!
Vaunted
A game that seems to combine strategy and action will allow us to take control of multiple aliens with special abilities that we can manage through cards and building decks that we'll take with us on missions. Each alien has its own unique style. Launches this year.
Hades II
One of the best roguelike games of recent years is coming to consoles! Launches on April 14.
Artificial Detective
The game was announced with a cinematic trailer in a futuristic world where it appears robots have taken over the world and are eliminating every living creature. Later it's revealed this is a third-person game where we play as a robot ourselves with different weapons and abilities, with the mission to protect a little girl. Launches in 2027.
And that's it! On the surface it looks like a nice presentation by all accounts, tell us what you think in the comments!
