After Years of Development, Killer Bean Gets a Release Date for Next Month
The internet phenomenon Killer Bean will receive its video game on June 8th, with a console version planned soon after — likely still before GTA 6.
The name is Bean, Killer Bean
So many crazy things have happened while we've been waiting for the next GTA game, but this is definitely one of the least believable among them. The internet phenomenon Killer Bean will receive its video game on June 8th, with a console version planned soon — probably also before GTA 6.
The game, born from a series of hilarious web videos and now looking like a brilliant parody of the Metal Gear series, has suddenly received an update on its Steam page, with a release date set for June 8th. The game will later release on consoles, and is currently listed as Early Access even though it appears the vast majority of what it offers is already complete. The version will include the full campaign, which takes place on an island with a story and side missions that will also feature dancing as befits the brand. Side activities will include a sort of Boss Rush mode where each time you'll drop onto a different small island with a giant boss and enemies roaming around while you try to take it down.
The game sounds a lot better than I thought, and it'll be very interesting to see if all these promises actually come to fruition. So far, it hasn't received a release date announcement trailer yet, but we expect that to happen very soon at the summer events that are just around the corner. Familiar with the phenomenon? Will you play the game? We probably will too.
