After Being Kept Secret, Fable's Composer is Revealed as the Award-Winner Behind the Uncharted Fan Film

Award-winning composer Jacob Shea, known for his work on Planet Earth 2 and 3 as well as the famous Uncharted fan film starring Nathan Fillion, has officially been revealed as the composer for the upcoming Fable game.

During the recent Gamescom, I approached no fewer than five different representatives from Xbox and the Fable development team with one burning question: who is going to compose the game's soundtrack? Despite being less than six months away from launch, the answer was kept a complete secret. Today we finally found out who it is, and the wait was totally worth it.

I had started to suspect that it might be an anonymous composer they weren't particularly proud of, but it turns out reality is light-years away from that. The person chosen to score one of the most anticipated games of the decade is none other than Jacob Shea, the award-winning composer behind the masterful documentary series Planet Earth 2 and 3. Although Shea has never composed a soundtrack for a video game before, he has a close connection to gaming: he scored the famous Uncharted fan film starring Nathan Fillion, which many still consider more faithful to the source material than the official Hollywood movie we received.

Fable is set to release on February 23, 2027, and although our expectations are sky-high, based on the showcase we saw at Gamescom, it looks like it is going to surpass them. What are your expectations for the game? Which legends or creatures would you most like to see in it? Tell us in the comments!
