007 First Light's First Year of Content Revealed
IO Interactive has unveiled the content roadmap for 007 First Light's first year, including new missions, a Switch 2 port, Path Tracing support, and more, following the game's impressive 2.7 million copies sold in its first week.
With the absolutely insane sequence of events, announcements, and trailers we've seen in recent days, the launch of 007 First Light about two weeks ago feels very distant. But IO Interactive, the studio that brought us this excellent Bond game, is taking advantage of the gaming celebration to reveal the new content the game will receive over the coming year as part of the studio's ongoing support. And if we look at how IO supports Hitman with additional content even after many years, it seems Bond is going to be sticking around with us for quite a while too.
In the coming months, we can expect to receive new TacSim missions with fresh challenges, an update for the PC version that will add Path Tracing capabilities for improved lighting, a port of the game for the Switch 2 (it'll be interesting to see how that goes), a new gadget in the form of enhanced glasses based on the Even Realities G2, a New Game Plus mode, a new mission (which was already revealed at the main SGF event), a photo mode, and "classified" content that hasn't been revealed yet. While we didn't get exact release dates, it's clear the near future will be very exciting for fans of the game, and it looks like there are quite a few of them as the studio announced sales of 2.7 million copies within just one week.
